2010 Space Camp Scholarships
When: Sunday, 4 July 2010 – Friday, 9 July 2010
Where: Space Camp at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville, Alabama.
Who: Any child, age 9-11, of a parent or guardian currently assigned to SMDC/ARSTRAT, PEO-M&S, JFCC-IMD, MSIC, NASA Marshall, and MDA. Military or government civilian, including matrix personnel, can apply as well as contractors working for corporate members of ASMDA. Military and government personnel must apply for free membership to ASMDA to be eligible.
Selection Criteria: Essay, school grades, interest in science/space, location (goal of 2 HSV, 2 COS, 2 Kwajalein, 3 Alaska, and 2 Omaha), and financial need
Scholarship includes:
• One week at Space Camp at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL (July 4-July 9)
• Round-trip airfare and unaccompanied minor fee (if required)
• Transportation to and from Huntsville airport to the Space and Rocket Center (if required)
• Space Camp Flight Suit & Clothing Package
